With the whole having a baby thing last month, we didn’t end up watching all three movies (having the option to watch football on the weekends didn’t help either), but we did get in two picks which isn’t too bad. They both ended up being installments in series, and both Max and I had missed out on the earlier parts of the series the other one picked, but it was an alright month of movies anyway.

His Pick:

Night at the Museum: Secret of the Tomb

 

Like I said, I hadn’t seen any of the earlier Night at the Museum movies, so Max had to fill me in a little. He enjoyed the movie, and despite not having any background, I did too. Not necessarily my favorite, and it didn’t exactly make me want to hurry out to go see the other ones, but it was entertaining.

 

My Pick:

The Second Best Exotic Marigold Hotel

 

I had enjoyed the first movie, and hoped to enjoy this one too. It wasn’t entirely disappointing, but I thought it was pretty slow (Max did too – although I have to give him credit for hanging in there until the end even though I told him he could skip out and go to bed if he wanted). Still a cute movie with a good cast, just could have been cut down by about 30 minutes or so.
