I always love my job, and I walk away from every session grateful to get to photograph people. But some days? I just sit in my car and smile to myself & thank God I get to be a photographer… and then I rush home to get the photos onto my computer! This family portrait session? This was one of those days. The light in Kingwood was perfect, and I couldn’t have had more fun with these five!
I’ve had other photographers (& people in general) tell me that they could never photograph kids because it’s too hard, tiring, unpredictable, etc. I don’t agree at all! I find it so much fun to walk into a session making introductions, spend our time laughing & joking & playing (taking photos too, of course), and leaving with a few new tiny friends. It’s a joy for me to get to know the kids & make it a fun experience for the whole family! (I love making friends with the parents too… but if I can keep the kids engaged & happy, I know that makes mom & dad happy too!)
Those sibling giggles!!! I love it!
These mom & dad images always have my heart! So important to honor where the family started!
I am such a sucker for sweet little in-between moments like this! I know I cherish images like this of me with my own girls, so I love being able to give that gift to my clients too!
Abigail was so good at trying to gently corral her younger siblings & had a little fun exploring the area when she was off-camera too!
Isn’t Samuel such a handsome little guy?!?!?!
I mentioned leaving a session with new friends… sweet little Rebekah was gifting me tiny yellow flowers & all kinds of things!
Love this one!
This one is a favorite for SURE!
Krista & Brandon, thank you so much for letting me photograph your family! Abigail, Rebekah & Samuel are adorable, amazing kids & I had a great time with y’all!!!
