If you’re feeling the realities of day-to-day life kicking in, and feeling that fire you had for your newly set goals a few weeks ago starting to fade, take a minute. Take a minute & think about why you started.
If it’s a reason that still resonates with you, still gets you right in the gut, still sparks a fire in your spirit. Get back after it.
Don’t beat yourself up about slipping. Just take the next step. Take a step forward, no matter how small. And then take a little time to figure out why it slipped from your priority list. Figure out 1 concrete way you can make sure it doesn’t slip again.
Put a note on the background of your phone so you see it every single one of the 1,016 times you pick up your phone daily.
Put a note on your fridge. Put a note in your fridge.
Make it the text of your alarm clock on your phone each morning.
Put a note on the dash of your car.
Just do something to remind yourself why you started. And then go after that goal one step at a time.
If you need someone to cheer you on, send me a message. I’d love to help you remember why you started, and be a part of the push to get you there.
