Typically, I am hired to do brand photos for small businesses with a functional purpose as the main driving factor for the investment. High quality, customized brand photography is a powerful tool to share the heart of your brand & connect with your ideal client. That being said, I’ve noticed that there is almost always an undercurrent of more personal or sentimental reasons tied into the session as well.
Investing in brand photography as a small business owner, especially relatively early in your business journey, is a sort of validation that your dream is worth it. It is a moment for my clients to really step into being the face of their brand and documenting the season they are in, on top of the strategic goal of elevated imagery.
This session with Chantel was mainly for the sentimental reasons, and I absolutely loved it!!! She told me that this is her first business, and she wanted to have photos to remember the start of this journey. I met her at her amazing space, Wine & Design in Kings Harbor, & with music playing through the studio’s sound system, we documented her beginning as a business owner. While she owns a sip & paint studio, she wanted to be clear that she was the owner and not an artist, so we left the paintbrushes stored away, and opted for a glass of red wine instead!
Chantel, your space is almost as gorgeous as you are, and I am so excited for the amazing experience you’re providing for the Kingwood area!
This photo right here is most definitely a favorite!!! I love that it shows what a perfect blend of polished & fun Chantel is, and is the kind of image I LOVE getting for my brand clients! Yes, you want to show your ideal clients that you’re professional, but you also want to show that you have personality too!
I always love having one more casual wardrobe option in my branding sessions, and this one was just perfect for Chantel! I also love that she supports other Kings Harbor businesses, like Pretty Little Things Boutique where she got her shirt.
Mantra for all small business owners: “Work really hard & make your own luck”
