If you follow along on Instagram, you’ve probably noticed that there’s something going on around here with b.marie.photography & with our family….

No, I’m not taking a break from photography to have another baby. I repeat, we aren’t having another baby. We are taking a leap of faith & following where we feel God is leading us…

And we think he’s leading us to Houston!!

Max has been offered a great position at St. Thomas High School, so come August we’ll be making the move to Houston. We love that it will be closer to family & I’m thrilled to be closer to some of my dear friends.

That being said, it will definitely be hard to leave Nacogdoches. We’ve made some great friends here, and it’s been a great home for us as we’ve started our family. It will be tough to leave the house where we brought both girls home from the hospital. It will be tough to leave SFA. It will be tough to leave the great people we both get to work with everyday.

But I know that we’re only a short drive away, and I’m excited to think about coming up to photograph the incredible families & students here while Max continues to take his doctoral classes at SFA. I know I’ll be back for weddings, and I love the thought of that!

I’m also so excited to get b.marie.photography up and running in Houston. It’s going to be so much fun to be closer to some of my photographer friends, and to be closer to photography meet-ups. I can’t wait to meet a whole new group of brides & grooms, families, and seniors!
