Y’all, I cannot begin to tell you how excited I am to share this session today. It’s been killing me to not post these sooner, but it is so worth the wait!

I love getting to photograph sweet new babies and their families, but when that sweet new baby is the one who made me an aunt, it just about makes my heart burst! And CJ & Emily are just the sweetest parents. So clearly I’m just a tad bit biased, but I have to say these three & their in-home session are just incredible!

Joseph was just a little dream baby for the whole session! Sleepy & sweet.

This one on the left got me in the feels when I took it, again when I edited it, and for a third time as I’m writing this!

One of the gifts Emily received at a baby shower was this beautiful necklace with Joseph’s name, and I love that she chose to wear it for pictures.

CJ’s been an awesome uncle for a long time now, but it’s been so fun to watch him become a dad. Joseph, you’re a pretty lucky little guy to have the parents you have!!

Of course we had to get Rocko in on the family portraits too!!

Another one that just makes my heart happy!!! Such a beautiful mama and a happy little man.

Love this one with photos from their past adventures on the wall, and their biggest and best adventure in their arms.

We got a few shots with my grandfather’s ring too, and we all got a little teary-eyed. The last photo I have with my bump before Peanut was born was with that ring on my hospital gown covered tummy, and seeing it on the newest member of our family’s tummy just felt right.

There’s nothing like the tiny little details on a newborn – especially their pouty little lips!

Joseph, thanks for making me an aunt, and thanks for being such a little dream baby during your portraits! CJ & Emily, thank you for letting me be the one to take the photos of your son’s first days, and your first days as a family. I love you all!!!
