As I mentioned yesterday, we spent the week of Thanksgiving with family in Baton Rouge. We spent a lot of time relaxing and watching Peanut play with the dogs. We also spent a good amount of time outside – even if it was just in the front yard.
Obviously, Peanut loved getting to run around outside and enjoy the beautiful weather!
It was sooooo good to see Peanut having great quality time with her TooDee and PawPaw, and TooDee just so happened to be the go-to picker-upper when Peanut decided she didn’t really like sitting in the grass.
With the last little bit of light, we tried to get a few shots of each of us with Peanut… she was more interested in heading in to play with the puppies, but with a little bit of playing the 1-2-3-DROP! game with her, at least we got a few.
We took one morning to go spend some time on the LSU campus… it was fun to see Max sharing that part of his life with Peanut, and she most definitely loved seeing Mike the Tiger. She would growl at him as he walked by, and called him a “ra-ra.” Ever since then, she gets so excited to see a tiger anywhere, and it’s pretty much adorable.
Max showed Peanut his name on the 2007 SEC Champions & National Champions plaques.
We spent some more time just walking around campus.. it was a seriously gorgeous day, and I couldn’t help but snap some photos as we walked along.
I didn’t break out the camera for Thanksgiving Day or many other times throughout the week, and I have to say it was a good mix of making these memories be forever memories, and then also just letting some of those moments sink into my soul to live out their lives there.
Again, as always, I am so incredibly thankful for this life that is mine, and mostly for the people I get to share it with. I am more than blessed.
it looks like a wonderful week!! Too bad Peanut is so camera shy!!
We had fun, and the week zoomed by. RA-RA is now her favorite animal…she kept seeing Tigers all over the place!
