If you’ve been hanging around the blog for a while or have taken a look at my website, you’ve seen this family. I have been so fortunate to photograph them for years as they welcomed first Lila, then Caleb. When I moved to Kingwood from Nacogdoches, it was leaving families like this that made it hard on me, but I was so incredibly thankful when Whitney reached out to me about doing an extra special portrait session for them at their home.
This place means so much to them, and it meant so much to me to be able to go see them, photograph them there, and experience some of the joys of their daily lives together.
Koltonski family, I just love y’all!!
Such a sweet little daddy-daughter moment as we went on their usual evening walk to find blackberries!
Having something like this incorporated into family portrait sessions always makes me so happy! It’s never lost on me that these photos will be able to help keep these memories so vivid for Lila & Caleb.
Lila was so excited to go find berries (even though she doesn’t eat them), that she pretty much skipped the whole way down the driveway! With that sweet little dress, she looked like a little ballerina in the evening light!
Love, love, LOVE this. Whitney, I know your children are a gift to you, but girl, what a gift they got having you as their mama!!!
Hard to believe my relationship with this family started before Lila was born, and now she’s looking so grown!
Owning & operating this chicken farm is such an integral part to their family legacy, and the kids lit up like no other when it was time to throw on their boots & walk down to the chicken houses!
Too. Much. Cuteness. (And Lila’s little painted toes? Be still my heart!)
Those eyes! Isn’t Caleb just the cutest?!?!
This photo gets me!! Between her tiny hand in his & the combo of the dress + those boots, I just love it!!
These two? They’re incredible. And I’m lucky to say I know them!
Whitney, Chris, Lila & Caleb, thank you so much for welcoming me into your home & your sweet family traditions. Thank you for the prayers for safe travels, and the incredibly thoughtful gift basket with all of my favorite things. It is a blessing to know y’all & get to photograph the different stages of your family legacy.
