Y’all I am THRILLED to announce that I will be doing mini sessions this year, but just any ol’ mini session…

Many people have returned to work, school, & “normalcy” after Hurricane Harvey brought so much damage to the Texas coast & to Houston. It has been so heartbreaking to watch my hometown be all but wiped out with the flood waters. This community has been so amazingly powerful, positive & supportive throughout everything though, and I am so proud to call Kingwood home.

Although a pseudo sense of “normal” has set in, there is still so far to go for so many families who lost everything. And knowing that so many families lost their years & years worth of family photos along with the rest of their belongings just absolutely breaks my heart.

So while I wasn’t able to do as much as I would have liked in the way of clean up, and while I feel like there is so little I can do to continue to help, I know that one way I can serve these families is through my photography, and that is what these mini sessions are all about!

There are so many other families like ours who were fortunate enough to stay dry throughout the storm, and we want to find ways to support those who were not so lucky. So for those families who did not flood, your session fee will be donated to the Kingwood Harvey Relief Fund through St. Martha Catholic Church. You’ll get gorgeous new photos to continue building the visual recording of your family legacy, and you’ll be helping others to rebuild their homes & their lives.

For any families who lost their photos in the flood, the mini session is my gift to you. I cannot begin to lessen the hurt of your loss, but I hope that this session can be a small, joyful step on your journey of rebuilding.
