Sweet girl,
It can’t be real life that you’re already 6 months old… That’s halfway to a year already! What!?! Time is flying by so quickly, little one.
You’re doing a good job sleeping in your crib at night now, but nap time is another story… We’ve had plenty of loops around the house in the stroller (which completely throws your sister off that the stroller is inside instead of in the garage), and trips around the neighborhood in the car to get you to go down for your nap. We’ll keep working on it though!
You’ve started to eat rice cereal, and you took to it right away – you’ve got your mama’s genes when it comes to food! I’m kinda hoping it keeps adding to those little thigh rolls you’re slowly getting…
You’re scooting yourself around a lot, and it’s pretty impressive how far – and how quickly – you travel without technically crawling! You’ve even made your way over to play with your sister’s toys, so I’m sure that’s the start of plenty of complaints from her.
These two just crack me up!
Speaking of your sister though – you still just love to watch her. In fact the other evening you were laughing and laughing at her jumping & dancing in front of you in the kitchen, and my heart just felt like it could burst. I hope you always look up to your sister like that, and I hope she knows it. I can’t imagine a better motivation to grow into a strong, kind woman than knowing your little sister is looking up to you.
You still love to scream just for fun & are starting to make more an more sounds everyday.
You’re rolling back and forth like crazy now, and it definitely made for a different challenge in taking your pictures! I love the new perspective though. You’re starting to get up on all fours so I don’t think it will be too long before you’re crawling around chasing your sister & the dogs!
My goodness, Pumpkin, you sure are expressive. All those facial expressions just crack me up!
And for the sake of being honest… I have to say that although you’re a VERY happy baby, you’re not always acting like my little Sunshine girl. But even when you’re having a moment, you’re still pretty darn cute.
Pumpkin, I can’t say it enough how much joy you bring to our lives. I still can’t believe we’re already halfway to your first birthday… Thank you for 6 months of more love than I could ever imagine, and thank you for letting me be your mama!!!
