So let me tell you ’bout my beeeeest friend… (anyone else sing that in their head? Just me? Ok. Moving on…) This is Adrian & she had a baby. But before that, I made the drive from Kingwood out to Weatherford to take some maternity portraits for her & Jason.
Funny little sidenote story – it was 80 something degrees here in Kingwood when I left, only to realize as I glanced at the dash of my car while I waited for them to get to the restaurant we were meeting at for lunch that it was 60 something there. Yep. And what was I wearing? Distressed capri jeans, a tank top & sandals. Good call, Brooke. (I swear I normally check the weather SO many times leading up to shoots, but on this one I figured it was going to happen rain or shine so I didn’t even bother to look!)
Anyway… back to the maternity photos! It may have been a bit chilly & overcast most of the time, but y’all… Adrian is stunning, isn’t she?!?!
At this point I’d been graciously offered the use of a sweatshirt & it was Adrian’s turn to pretend like it actually felt like springtime in Texas. I’d say it was worth it! (Hopefully you do too, Adrian!)
Of course we had to get their first two babies in some photos too, which out on the ranch was a bit of a challenge! Seriously though, how cute are Dexter & Ella?! (And trust me – you’re going to want to stick around to the end of this one to see more of those two…)
Stunning.
Gosh I just love these two. So much laughter & joy. So much sarcasm. My kinda people!
Thankfully the sun peaked out a few times & we were able to get a little bit of a glow in a few pictures!
We wanted to snag a little family portrait which was great…
…but clearly Ella wanted in on the maternity pose action too!
I love this one!!
Adrian & Jason, I love y’all (little Emma, Dexter & Ella too!)!!! We’ve come a long way since Texas Tech, but I’m so thankful to have friends like y’all that I can never grow up with!
And to reward you for sticking around this long (because clearly I had a heck of a time trying to narrow these down for the blog!), I’ll leave you with this little series:
Keep an eye on the blog – baby Emma’s newborn-style 1 month photos will be here soon! (And yes, the dogs will be back too!)
