I think we all have those moments when it feels like there’s just to much to do. The dream is too far away to reach. There’s too many hurdles in the way.
We tell ourselves we might as well quit pushing – that we’re just spinning our wheels, wearing ourselves out and that we’ll never “make it” to where ever it is we want to go. We should just get comfortable with where we’re at now, rather than hoping and dreaming and pushing forward.
Sometimes it’s hard, y’all.
But if it’s on your heart, it’s there for a reason. And the hurdles, the spinning wheels, the distance we have to go – it’s all there for a reason. And you owe it to yourself to not give in to the lies your mind tries to tell your heart. You owe it to yourself to not give up. To not sell out on your dream.
When you’re in the moment of feeling like quitting would be easier, don’t beat yourself up about it. We’re all there at some point or another (usually multiple times). Give yourself the grace to accept that you’re human and that dream-chasing is hard. Take a second to breathe. Pause. Pray. Gather yourself up and figure out your next step – even if it’s a baby one. Then take it. Surround yourself with people who will keep you going. People who will cheer for you. People who will remind you to keep going. People who will love you through the struggle and celebrate the little victories. Surround yourself with those people, and take the steps – one at at time.
Because your dream, whatever it may be, it’s worth it. And so are you.
And if you need someone to be that person to cheer you on, to lift you up, to remind you that the chase is worth it and there’s value in the journey – let me be that person for you.
