I am so excited to finally be able to make it to a Tuesdays Together meet up next week, y’all! It’s going to be great to be able to meet other creatives here in the area and join together in the incredible movement of supporting and pushing one another.

This quote was in my new planner (am I the only one who gets WAY too excited about buying a new planner?!), and I loved it right away. I knew I’d want to post it on here at some point, but the more I read it, the more I think it’s such a great way to tie up my excitement for Tuesdays Together.

I am so glad that The Rising Tide Society was founded to encourage creatives to really come together to support one other and elevate our fields as a whole through helping one other and learning together. As the new kid here in Houston, I’m fully aware that there are a lot of people who have incredible things already going on here. They’ve got incredible momentum & are accomplishing amazing things. And while it would be really easy to be intimidated or even jealous of those things, I am going to make the choice to reflect that light back onto them. To cheer them on. To toast their successes. Because sometime down the line, they might be helping me celebrate mine. And a thriving market is exactly what we all need.

So whatever field you find yourself in, or whatever stage of life you’re in, let’s all decide that we’ll either be candles or mirrors. Sometimes maybe we’ll be both. But either way, we’ll be happy to just be involved with spreading light in the world.
