With the craziness of the holidays, and once again trying to get caught up on what we have on DVR, we haven’t done the best with movies. (Why does this sound so familiar?? haha). But we did see some good ones, in addition to knocking out a season of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. and a lot of episodes of Castle.
His Pick:
This was one of the options on the plane on the way out to California, and Max very quickly decided this is what he’d like to watch. I got to see most of it (thanks to traveling with my parents – BIG help in the Peanut department), but didn’t quite catch the end. So I can’t really say too much, other than I really didn’t expect to like it, but Chris Pratt works wonders for that. Pretty entertaining.
My Pick:
Y’all – if you haven’t seen this movie yet, make time to see it. So good! But also make sure you’ve got some really good movie time snacks cause it’ll leave you hungry for sure. Jon Favreau just kills it in this, and it’s refreshingly honest. Sometimes hard to watch, sometimes hilarious, and sometimes heart-warming, this one definitely makes it up toward the top of my list.
Our Pick:
We don’t go to the theater all that often, but I’m glad we went for this one! This was such a powerful story of the strength of the human spirit. I think Angelina Jolie did a great job, and I am really glad that the part of the story surrounding his faith was not cut from the film. If you haven’t seen this one – you need to.
