Ok y’all, I love this family, and I love this session!! This evening family portrait session ended up with me getting to watch these three pick wild blackberries together, laugh, play, run & love on each other… and it’s everything I love in photographing families! No need for stiff formalities, just getting to photograph a family being together, and getting some great shots of everyone along the way.
Brittany, Gavin & Connor, y’all are just the best!
I love taking some time out of family shoots to get photographs of the parents by themselves – once you become parents, you don’t always get much time alone as a couple, and I love making a point to honor where the family started by grabbing some photos of just the two of them together. And these two? They photograph well, don’t they?!
This next one is a favorite of mine for sure!!
Connor is Peanut’s best friend, and they’ve grown up together. It’s crazy to see how much bigger he looks in this photo compared to the shoot we did a year ago!
Connor was so sweet blowing “wishes” around, and I loved getting the reminder to keep the innocence & joy in the little, everyday things.
Such a handsome little guy!
Like I mentioned, we ended up finding some blackberries in the field we were in, and it was so sweet to watch Connor share them with his parents (some of the time!).
He clearly ate his fair share of berries too haha!
I love this one too!
Love love LOVE these next two shots!
Gavin, I love the way Connor looks at you! He’s lucky to have such a great dad!
And Brittany, it is SO clear how much that little boy loves you!
Thank you to the three of you for letting me come out and play and photograph another year in time for your family. And thank you for being such great friends! We’re lucky to have you all in our lives!! Enjoy the photos!
