Aprons on, glasses of wine in hand, we all looked at each other smiling & asked “What colors are you going to do?” “Which pour option are you going to try?” We lined the tables, laughed with each other, laughed at ourselves & created some art. And more than once, I just sat back & couldn’t keep from smiling.

I say it a lot…. I love my clients. I don’t see this business as one transaction after another, one gallery after another.

I truly care about about the people who choose me, trust me to photograph their lives. I care deeply about cheering them on as they build their businesses, chase dreams & work to connect better with their ideal clients through photographs that speak to the heart of their brand. I care deeply about validating their choice to start a business and to confidently step up to be the face of their brand. I care deeply about creating images that let mamas remember all the details of their kids in each stage of life. I care deeply about creating images that serve as a visual reminder to those mamas that they are doing a great job at this oh-so-tough job of raising little ones, and that their kids look at them like they hung the moon. I care deeply about creating images that are a part of the visual legacy of these families that they will look back on for years and years and generations and generations to come.

I want my business to be about relationships, not transactions. And with that in mind, I’ve been dreaming of hosting an event for some of my recent clients. I wanted to bring them together because we can all use more amazing women in our lives, and I want my amazing clients to have a chance to meet each other. I wanted to just show them they’re appreciated and they are just a paycheck for me!

When it worked out to not only host an event like that, but to host it at the amazing business of one of my brand clients, I was thrilled!!! So there I was, in the middle of an acrylic pour class at Wine & Design with these amazing clients of mine, and my heart was full. I’m already looking forward to hosting another event in the future!!

To those of you who attended the event, thanks for sharing such a fun night with me & thanks for helping me make a life for my family by photographing you & yours! To those of you who couldn’t make it out this time, I’ll see you at the next event!
